Thursday 15th May
As part of our fund raising events for the restoration of the Worth Matravers village hall, we will be hosting a special screening of ‘Pink Floyd Live at Pompeii’ on Thursday 15 May.
Live at Pompei is an immersive experience that captures the essence of one of the most iconic bands in history. This 1972 documentary, totally remastered, transports you to the heart of Pink Floyd’s creativity, blending rock and experimental music, set against the haunting backdrop of the ancient Pompeii ruins. We hope this will provide a welcome opportunity for many of us to relive our youth, while also winning some new (and possibly younger!) Pink Floyd fans with some truly legendary tracks.
Wine will be served from 19:00 and the film will begin at 19:30. To avoid disappointment at the door, book early!
Tickets are £10 including a complementary drink.

Directed by John Ford, it’s a timeless Western that combines stunning cinematography with complex themes of obsession and redemption.
John Wayne delivers one of his most iconic performances as Ethan Edwards, a bitter and relentless man on a mission to rescue his niece from Comanche captors.
The film explores themes of racism, vengeance, and the deep scars of war, all whilst showcasing Ford's masterful direction and use of Monument Valley's breathtaking scenery. It’s influence on the genre is undeniable but it goes beyond this as a true landmark in American cinema. Steven Spielberg once famously declared he watches it every time he’s preparing to film a new project.
