The latest additions to our Website
SOMETHING OLD AND SOMETHING NEW:
a little bit of HISTORY and some GOOD NEWS
In the Events section see the latest NEWS about our success with the £1,460 raised for MYTime from the April and May challenges. And there you will find links to FOUR articles in local magazines providing publicity for the Village, the Village Hall and MYTime for Young Carers.
In the Centenary section there are two additions showing more about Worth's rich history:
Ecclesiastical & Earthworks in and around Worth
An Engineering Perspective on the Industrial Archaeology of the Purbeck Stone Industry
PURBECK ARTISTS AND STALLHOLDERS - HAVE HAD TO CANCEL FOR NOW
Unfortunately, due to Covid-19, PASH can't be with us in the Village Hall this summer, but you will find a slightly smaller display of their creations, plus Teas, Coffees, Cakes and Ice Cream at the Burngate Centre from next week, middle of July, through to the end of August.
REGRETFULLY OUR UPCOMING VILLAGE EVENTS HAVE BEEN CANCELLED OR POSTPONED UNTIL THE CORONAVIRUS CRISIS HAS PASSED and IT IS DEEMED SAFE FOR PEOPLE TO BE TOGETHER
COMMUNITY RESPONSE TO CORONAVIRUS
Unfortunately the Coronavirus situation is becoming more serious and some people will wish to self-isolate, either because they have the virus or in order to keep themselves safe. Our local Parish Councils and Church community are joining together to offer support during this difficult time.
We have set up special phone numbers and
e-mail addresses so that people in the Dubber area needing help or support while isolated will have a point of contact. There will be two support groups, one under the Langton and one under the Worth umbrella: residents of Harmans Cross should contact the Worth Group while Kingston residents may contact either group.
